Jan. Write Away Day 2

Day 2 prompt: things that make you happy.

the warming up of the world is the best time of the year.

it holds the promise of better and maybe even the best of times.

when the last bit of gray snow has melted and bugs start to come back around.

when you can put your heavy coat away in storage.

when snow boots and shovels become a thing of a past life.

when you can finally roll your car windows down, blaring something stupid out of the speaker.

when you keep a blanket in your trunk for emergency picnics.

when you can smell life growing from the ground.

when you have to remember a sweatshirt for hammock sessions that can now commence.

i have to admit that summer is my favorite season, ultimately.

but there is something so special about spring.

a time of new beginnings.

a time of soft promises.

a time of infinince.

a time of becoming.

i hope to be there this spring.

to witness the warming up of the world.

to allow the warmth to wrap me and cradle my biggest dreams.
